The newly relocated and revamped Zhivago, located at 54
Currie Street, is quickly becoming one of the most popular and raved about
clubs in Adelaide. Busiest on a Sunday night; however, open Friday, Saturday
and Sunday, Zhivago offers a great destination for all. There's a dance floor for
those who bought their dancing shoes and plenty of seating for those who prefer
to sit and mingle. The surroundings encountered at Zhivago are unique to say
the least: the club is located at the end of an alley way in a basement (not as
scary as it sounds, I promise) with the walls decorated by graffiti street art
and the bar placed smack bang in the middle of the room.
This unique club only gets better when the DJ starts playing
all the best recent and past R&B tracks which gets everyone up on their
feet. The ten dollar entry fee seems a small price to pay to enjoy the
atmosphere of Zhivago; however, the hour long wait in the line does not, so be
sure to get in early to avoid disappointment.
