The marketing scheme employed by Mansions nightclub, located on 21 Pultney Street, is not a hard one to figure out even before stepping a foot in the door. Their promotional posters consist of pictures of numerous young girls all in skimpy clothing, drinking or even engaging in provocative behaviour, their sales promotions include free drinks cards for girls before ten thirty and the majority of their bar staff are attractive girls. Needless to say before ten thirty the venue is packed to the brim with young girls all trying to cram in their free alcohol. Consequently, the young boys follow after hearing on the grapevine Mansions is where all the girls are.

Mansion’s has two rooms, one playing RnB and the other playing House and Electro. The music is nothing to rave about and is not successful at keeping the girls around after ten thirty when their free drinks stop, and quickly the majority of them depart to other clubs, with the boys following soon behind. In combination with average music and dear drinks, I too soon left in search of better things.  

Mansions has been successful in creating the image that they are the club where all the ‘hot’ girls go to party; however, there is a stark contrast between pre ten thirty and post ten thirty. So if you are a girl looking for free drinks I definitely suggest Mansions to start off your night; however, plan to go somewhere else after ten thirty as the music is average and the drinks are expensive.
